Laurianne Félicité, ink artist

Laurianne Félicité, known by her artist name Félilo, is a French artist based in Athens, Greece.

Through India ink, she explores personality, emotion, and the uniqueness of living beings. Her artistic world navigates between expressive portraits, wild animals, and imaginary characters, blending sensitivity, character, and a touch of whimsy.

The art of celebrating uniqueness

What inspires me above all is what makes each being unique.

An attitude, a look, an expression, an unexpected detail. These little things that reveal a personality, tell a story, and give everyone their character.

I find this uniqueness as much in the quiet power of a wild animal as in the expression of a face or the improbable mannerisms of a character born from my imagination.

India ink is my preferred language. I love its depth, its contrasts, the simplicity of a line capable of suggesting so much. I work primarily in black, white, and shades of gray, sometimes accompanied by touches of color. I seek a balance between precision and spontaneity, between strength and delicacy.

My work oscillates between observing reality and the freedom of the imagination. Some works express my admiration for the living world and its beauty. Others explore with tenderness and humor our little quirks, our imperfections, and our contradictions.

This is how Atypical was born, a world populated by characters with strong personalities, sometimes strange, but terribly human.

I am not looking to represent perfection. What interests me are characters, differences, emotions, and everything that escapes the ordinary.

Through my creations, I like to invite the viewer to linger, to discover a story, to recognize something familiar in the unexpected.

And perhaps, quite simply, to look at uniqueness with a little more tenderness.
